1821, laureate head left, similar to regular issue but DEF is closer to FID, and the last colon is therefore further from the lion's nose, edge plain, BMC 1418 [EXR] , struck from finally executed polished dies, toned, believed to be three known, of the highest rarity
I have only seen one other, a specimen was sold in FPL 9 # 233, the other specimen is in the British Museum.
There are also notable differences with the folds in Britannia's robe, the trident end and longe, more detailed plumes on the helmet.

The "Egypt" collided with the French cargo steamer "Seine", it occurred 25 miles off the French island of Ushant in dense fog. It yielded 5 tons of gold and thousands of sovereigns.
