Ex. Dr Baumhauer Collection, Sincona, 21 November 2021, lot 515; MPO Utrecht auction, May 2003. It contained a large European hoard of gold coins, including over 130 English Nobles ranging from Edward III to Henry IV (heavy coinage) all in high grade, also in the hoard were many hundreds of continental gold pieces.
I attended this auction, and I was also able to purchase privately a number of pieces including several of Richard II and some superb Henry IV (heavy coinage) pieces.
The above noble was acquired in the second purchase.
